Central Fire District Open House

Central Fire District of Santa Cruz County
1st Annual Open House - Free and open to visitors of all ages!  
 
It is a very special event this year, as it is our FIRST Open House since the consolidation of Aptos/La Selva and Central Fire Protection Districts, as well as the 100^th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week (which runs from October 9-15 this year). The theme for Fire Prevention Week this year is “Fire Won’t Wait – Plan Your Escape!”
 
We have a number of participating agencies this year, all with activities, demonstrations and displays to promote public safety and disaster preparedness. Red Cross, Salvation Army, American Medical Response, State Parks/Lifeguards, Santa Cruz County Sheriff and SPCA, as well as the CERT (Community Emergency Response Teams) of Santa Cruz County will be there.
 
We will also have a special raffle at the event with a number of fantastic prizes from local businesses, including Play it Again Sports and Wonderland Toys. 100% of the proceeds for this raffle will go to the Santa Cruz County Fallen Officer Foundation, which directly supports S.C.
